Spacing: 18″ for mass plantings; 42″ or more for space between plants
Cast Iron Plant thrives in dense shade to part shade and almost any well-drained soil with average fertility. Morning sun is okay however avoid exposing this plant to direct afternoon sunlight. When grown as a houseplant use a container with a drainage hole(s) and a light premium potting mix. When grown outdoors in pots use a premium potting soil or a 50/50 mix of potting soil and potting mix.
I want to thank Wilson Bros Nursery for all the attention and advice they have been providing, considering this was my first order from them and an order for just one plant. I will definitely consider ordering from them in the future.—————————————————————We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Both are growing just fine; quite happy. Planted, no shock. ———- WBG RESPONSE: Thanks so much for taking the time to provide us and visitors to Wilson Bros Gardens with your review. The Cast Iron Plant is a perfect choice for growing under large trees. We have a large patch of them growing underneath a very large oak tree in our gardens about an hour or so south of you. Let us know if thee’s ever anything else we can help you with. Plant long and prosper! Brent Wilson | Wilson Bros Gardens
